Welcome to Dr. Maryam Guiahi’s practice, where compassionate, evidence-based gynecologic care is the priority.
Dr. Guiahi is double board-certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology and Complex Family Planning and has over 20 years of clinical experience caring for women through every stage of life. She provides both routine and specialized gynecologic care, with particular expertise in areas that have historically been stigmatized, overlooked, or difficult to access—including family planning, pelvic pain, sexual medicine, and perimenopausal and menopausal care.
Her career has spanned academic medicine, public health, and community-based care, giving her a broad perspective and a deep commitment to meeting each patient’s individual needs. She is passionate about providing thoughtful, respectful reproductive and gynecologic care to women and families throughout the Central Coast.
Philosophy
Dr. Guiahi's goal is to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health by providing them with a range of options. She believes strongly that patients are experts of their own bodies and make the best health care decisions for themselves when they are given access to high-quality, evidence-based care. Her practice places a strong emphasis on patient autonomy and shared decision-making.
